Hi I'm Leslie

I'm a full-time farmer in Western Wisconsin where I raise meat goats and sheep on pasture using regenerative and rotational grazing practices.

I created this website because
I had so many people reaching out, both locally and beyond, wanting to know more about how I was raising and marketing goats.

I also recognized that it IS so hard to find information in this space. I wanted to share what I've learned along the way and reduce your time searching the depths of the internet.

ebook: Goat Meat Primer is here!

It’s FINALLY here! I’m SO excited to share the Goat Meat Primer ebook officially launches today!

While this project has been a labor of love for the last 4+ months, it’s really been in the works much longer than that.

It started when I began our farm. Anyone who raises meat goats knows the lack of information and resources out there is pretty minimal, whether that’s:
✔️ university research
✔️ industry investment in products to raise goats (feed, animal health, equipment, etc.)
✔️ government support for this animal protein, such as research and promotion boards, like those for beef, lamb, etc., or simply consistently tracking domestic market sales
✔️ no traditional go-to-market strategy like other animal proteins

The list can go on.

But, I will add one more: lack of information on the meat itself (processing, cooking techniques, cultural traditions, etc.). So many farmers who raise meat goats know very little about the meat, myself included when we got started.

Over time I’ve learned a lot about the actual meat selling direct to customers. I’ve also gathered bits of information and resources here and there.

I’ve pulled together the resources I’ve used and the knowledge I’ve gained into this ebook, so you don’t have to do the work I did.

It’s in beta, so now is a good time to download it (ends Dec. 14).
