Hi I'm Leslie

I'm a full-time farmer in Western Wisconsin where I raise meat goats and sheep on pasture using regenerative and rotational grazing practices.

I created this website because
I had so many people reaching out, both locally and beyond, wanting to know more about how I was raising and marketing goats.

I also recognized that it IS so hard to find information in this space. I wanted to share what I've learned along the way and reduce your time searching the depths of the internet.

Stockman GrassFarmer: troubleshooting goat fencing article

Recently, I had an article featured in the Stockman GrassFarmer titled Troubleshooting fencing issues with goats. With spring approaching, grazing season will soon be on the mind for many of us, and likely even sooner for those of you in the southern half of the country.

This topic came to mind after talking with a fellow grazier at a regional grazing conference this past winter about his woes with keeping his goats inside their fence.

If you’re receiving this email, you’re probably familiar with goats and their reputation when it comes to fencing. I’ve had conversations with other farmers about this issue more times than I can count.

In the article, I cover eight factors I evaluate on our farm and share with others when issues arise with electric fencing and goats.

If you missed it, check out the February 2026 issue of the Stockman GrassFarmer to read the full article. Note, a subscription is required.

Three photos of magazine articles.
